Abstract

Pursuant to article 7 of Regional Act No. 3 of 1998 concerning the protection of nurseries, this Regulation sets up a system of certification of plant species in the field of nurseries. The certification functions (art. 42) shall be exercised by the Regional Phyosanitary Structure. The certification procedure shall consist of the following stages: (1) conservation; (2) premultuplication; (3) multiplication; and (4) nursery. The Regional Phytosanitary Structure, after the controls required, shall authorize the use of a special label for the marketing of each type of material.
