For this purpose, it lays down rules concerning organic farming in the Veneto Region. Organic products may be processed only by using the techniques defined by this Regulation. Articles 3 and 4 are related to processing techniques compatible with the protection of the soil, in accordance with Annex A to Regional Act No. 24 of 1990. Article 5 defines the techniques and substances that may be used for the transformation, conservation and packaging of organic products. Further provisions concern the recognition of organic farmers' associations. The application, accompanied by the documents listed in article 7, paragraph 2, must be forwarded to the President of the Regional Authority. Article 9 lays down the conditions of registration for the enterprises concerned, in accordance with article 5 of Regional Act No. 24 of 1990.
