Abstract

The present Regional Regulation makes provision in matter of taxidermy, which is defined as the application, for scientific, educational or recreational purposes, of processing technics on vertebrates (or other zoological species) corpses with a view to preserving their appearance. Taxidermy is subject to the issuance of an authorization by the competent Province (art. 2). Whoever carries out taxidermy activities shall furthermore be registered in the Register of Handicrafts Enterprises (art. 2, par. 2). Article 4 lists out the animal species whose corpses may be used for taxidermy. Article 7 lays down penalties.
