The main purpose of carrying out arrangements within the framework of the present General Directions is to increase the output of the aquaculture produce by way of setting up aquaculture enterprises, conservation and maintenance of the existing natural spawning grounds and creation of modern fish farming enterprises for the production of salmon species. The aforesaid targets shall entail the expansion of research in the sphere of stock enhancement, fish breeding of salmon species and aquaculture, registration of the lagoons, sea bays and inland water bodies fit for fish farming of marketable species.
