This Decree enters into force the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Regional Legislative Decree is composed of 11 Chapters divided in 69 articles and six Annexes. It provides the legal regime applicable to the exploration and exploitation of mining resources in Azores. The Decree classifies the types of mining areas and explorations, regulating extraction and expropriation in terms of standards and procedures. Particular attention is paid to licensing conditions and to applicable sanctions. Annexes provide standard procedures, templates and model plans.
