Abstract This Regional Law is directed at realization of plenary powers of state bodies in relation to creation of favourable environment, rational nature management, conservation of natural ecosystems and prevention of negative environmental impact. Nature management shall be considered economic and any other activity related to the use of natural resources and having environmental impact. Ecological certification of territory represents data collection, processing, compilation and classification of data related to state of environment and nature management. This Regional Law defines plenary powers of the Regional Legislative Assembly and Regional Government in the sphere of environmental protection. It ensures access to ecological information and compulsory use of data contained in ecological certificate by state bodies. It establishes the principles of institution of protected areas and classifies them.
