Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations originating in the process of bee raising regarding honey bees (Apis mellifera), use thereof for pollination of agricultural entomophilous plants, obtaining apiculture products, protection of honey bees, improvement of apiculture efficiency and safeguarding rights and legal interests of natural and legal persons carrying out bee raising activity. The right to bee raising activity shall be granted to subject that want to carry out such activity. The number of bee families at apiary sites can be unlimited (art. 3). Bee raising activity shall be subject to licensing (art. 5). Bee families shall be subject to registration (art. 6). Trade of adulterated apiculture products shall be subject to prosecution (art. 7). Subjects of bee raising activity can place apiaries without limitation of quantity on land plots owned thereby or allotted thereto with the observation of zootechnic, veterinary and sanitary rules and regulations related to keeping of honey bees (art. 9). Trade of apiculture products shall be carried out by the owners of honey bees in the presence of veterinary and sanitary certificate and laboratory testing confirming compliance with food quality standards.
