Abstract This Regional Law establishes economic, social and legal grounds for organization and functioning of agro-industrial complex. Basic principles of the functioning of agro-industrial complex shall be as follows: (a) ensuring free operation of the producers of agricultural commodities as regards organization of their economic activities and disposition of their property; (b) compliance with environmental protection requirements; and (c) social development of rural areas and social protection of the rural population. The scope of the promotion of agro-industrial complex shall be agricultural development and income increase of the rural population.
