Abstract Natural medicinal resources, medicinal and sanitary areas and health resorts of the Yaroslavl Region are destined for cure of the population and are classified as especially protected areas destined for cure of the population and belong to especially protected environmental areas and territories that are distinguished for their particulars as regards utilization and conservation. This Regional Law establishes legal, economic and organizational bases for rational use, development and protection of medicinal resources, medicinal and sanitary areas and health resorts situated on the territory of the Yaroslavl Region. The Regional Law consists of 6 Sections. Section 1 lays down the general provisions. Section 2 determines the competence of the state institutions and local administration of the municipal districts of the Yaroslavl Region as regards regulation in the sphere of functioning, development and protection of health resorts, medicinal and sanitary areas and natural medicinal resources on the territory of the Yaroslavl region. Section 3 deals with the particulars of utilization and protection of natural medicinal resources, medicinal and sanitary resources and health resorts on the territory of the Yaroslavl Region. Section 4 concerns economic regulation in the sphere of health resort cure and recreation. Section 5 regards sanitary (mountain and sanitary) protection of natural medicinal resources, medicinal and sanitary resources and health resorts. Section 6 lays down the conclusive provisions. Chapter 3 focuses on the particulars of utilization and protection of regional medicinal resources, medicinal and sanitary areas and health resorts. It specifies that mineral water can be conceded in use for the purpose of the industrial bottling. Exploitation of the deposit of mineral water shall be carried out in accordance with licence. The amount of mineral water subject to abstraction shall be limited by the available stock and terms of exploitation. Full text Russian
