Abstract This Regional Law establishes that the basic tasks of regional veterinary shall be realization of the arrangements for prevention and liquidation of infectious animal diseases and regional veterinary servicing of pedigree stockbreeding, protection of the regional territory against introduction of infectious animal diseases and performance of state veterinary supervision. Regional state executive bodies, in conformity with the competence thereof, shall have the authority to introduce and revoke quarantine. Chief regional veterinary inspector shall have the authority make orders for confiscation of livestock or products of animal origin in the process of liquidation of outbreaks and hotbeds of particularly dangerous animal diseases.
