This Regional Law enters into force on 1 January 2009.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes that local government shall be assigned the following state powers: (a) provision of food, except for milk, to students enrolled in classes of elementary general education of the municipal educational institutions; (b) provision of food, except for milk, to low income families, students from vulnerable families, students from families of indigenous peoples of the North residing on the regional territory, students from multiple children families, students from single parent families with two or more children underage studying in general and secondary educational institutions; (c) provision of two meals a day to students with disabilities enrolled in classes for general and secondary municipal educational institutions (without being on full state support and residence in the above-mentioned institutions); (d) cash payment for the provision of two meals a day to students with disabilities of primary, basic and secondary education studying at home; and (e) provision of milk to students of basic general education in the municipal educational institutions, students from low income families students from vulnerable families, students from families of indigenous peoples of the North residing on the regional territory, students from multiple children families, students from single parent families with two or more children underage studying in general and secondary educational institutions, who up to 1 January 2016 were enrolled in special (correctional) educational institutions, and to children in need of a long term cure.
