Abstract This Regional Law establishes that medicinal waters and spas shall be considered protected areas and shall be destined for healthcare and recreation of the population. Area shall be considered healthcare and recreational in accordance with special health resort, hydrogeological and other studies and the official recognition of medicinal waters and spas shall be carried out by the authorized regional institution (art. 3). Natural medicinal waters and spas shall pertain to public property (art. 7). Natural medicinal waters shall be granted to natural and legal persons for healthcare and recreational uses. Mineral water can be used also for industrial bottling (art. 8).
