This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of hunting and hunting management with a view of ensuring sustainable management of game, protection of legal rights and interests of hunting managers and conservation of national hunting traditions. Wild fauna species subject to hunting and removed from natural habitats thereof can pertain to private, state, municipal and other types of ownership (Art. 7). Hunting grounds shall be classified as: (a) areas conceded to hunting managers for hunting and hunting management; (b) common hunting grounds (not conceded to specific hunting managers) (Art. 8). The right of long-term management of wild fauna species subject to hunting can be transferred to legal persons for hunting management for the period of no less than 25 years (Art. 12). Hunting regulations establish: (a) authorized hunting gear and hunting methods; (b) hunting periods; (c) list of species authorized and prohibited for hunting; (d) prohibited hunting gear and prohibited hunting methods; and (e) list of areas prohibited or restricted for hunting (Art. 14). Concession of hunting grounds shall be regulated by contracts (Art. 19).
