Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of institution and keeping regional Red Book of endangered, rare and protected wild fauna and wild flora species. Red Book shall be considered official document destined for publication defining status of species subjects to protection. The following species shall be inserted in Red Book: (a) species which extinction is probable; (b) species in the way of extinction; (c) species in the way of reduction; (d) rare species; (e) species which status if indefinite; and (f) species in the way of restoration or that can be restored. Arrangements for keeping Red Book shall include: (a) collection, processing, classification and analysis of data and information related to wild fauna and wild flora species; (b) updating and validation of the list of species to be included in Red Book; (c) publication of the list of species subject to protection; (d) elaboration of recommendations for conservation of species subject to protection; and (e) official publication of Red Book.
