Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right of free stay in forests for the purpose of procurement of edible non-timber forest resources (wild growing fruits, berries, mushrooms, seeds, wood juices etc.) and medicinal plants free of charge for individual personal needs without re-sale. Collection and procurement of non-timber edible forest resources and , in particular, mushrooms and wild growing plants, recorded in the Red Book of protected plant species, and also procurement of non-timber resources on the territory of protected areas, shall be prohibited. .
