Abstract This Regional Law establishes that the objects of environmental protection against pollution, exhaustion, degradation, deterioration and other negative impact caused by economic activities shall be as follows: (a) land, soil and subsoil; (b) surface water and groundwater; (c) forests and other vegetation, wild fauna and other living organisms, and genetic fund thereof; and (d) atmospheric air. State environmental audit and public environmental audit. Public environmental audit shall be organized through public hearing by social (non-governmental) environmental organizations and associations. Authorized state environmental institution shall be responsible for application of administrative proceedings for environmental offences, application of compensation for environmental damages, information of the population of the state of environment and ecological education of the population.
