Abstract

This Regional Law defines brushwood (fallen deadwood) as fallen to the ground as a result of natural biological processes (drying, damage by insects, stem pests, damage by forest diseases, violation of the integrity of the root system, etc.) or under the influence of adverse environmental factors tree trunks or parts thereof (branches, boughs), which have lost technical qualities and commercial value. Harvesting of brushwood (fallen deadwood) shall be authorized throughout the year by collecting tree trunks or their parts (branches, boughs) lying on the surface of the ground, which are not logging residues in the process of timber extraction under a forest lease contract or a contract for the purchase and sale of forest plantations.
