Abstract This Regional Law establishes that the executive body of state power in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources shall be authorized to perform: (a) organization and fulfilment of conservation and management of game and habitats thereof, with the exception of game in protected areas of federal significance; (b) issuance of permits for keeping and breeding of wild fauna species in semi-artificial conditions and artificially created environment (except for wild fauna species listed in the Red Book Russian Federation), with the exception of permits for keeping and breeding hunting resources living in protected areas of federal significance, in semi-free conditions and artificially created habitat; (c) control of the use of traps and other hunting gear in the process of hunting; (d) monitoring the circulation of wildlife products; (e) listing of wild fauna species (game) subject to commercial hunting; and (f) other powers in the field of hunting and conservation of game in accordance with the acting legislation of the Russian Federation.
