Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of keeping honey bees, use thereof for obtaining apiculture products, pollinating entomophilous plants, safeguarding rights and interests of natural and legal persons carrying out apiculture. Number of bee families shall not be subject to limitation (art. 4). State support to bee farmers shall be granted through compensation of expenditure for liquidation of bee diseases, preferential taxes, credits and subsidies (art. 5). Bee keepers shall be granted the right to place apiaries (bee families) on land plots in their ownership, lease or tenancy (art. 7). Natural honey and other apiculture products for alimentary purposes must comply with food quality and food safety requirements. Vendors of natural honey must be in possession of veterinary and sanitary certificate attesting product compliance with food quality and food safety requirements (art. 10).
