Abstract This Regional Law establishes legal grounds for regulation and stimulation of pedigree stockbreeding, with a view of raising and improving animal production and reproduction, and conservation of genetic resources of pedigree stock, in particular of rare species and species in way of extinction. Regional state stockbreeding inspection shall be responsible for state supervision over pedigree stockbreeding. Regional specific pedigree stockbreeding programmes shall be elaborated and budgetary expenditures shall be envisaged for public subsidies to pedigree stockbreeding.
