Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations originating in the process of pedigree stockbreeding, production and use of pedigree material. The scope of pedigree stockbreeding shall be to ensure reproduction of pedigree livestock for the purpose of improvement of productive characteristics of agricultural livestock and breeding of highly productive livestock, conservation of genetic fund and breed improvement. Pedigree stock shall be subject to mandatory state registration. Data related to pedigree livestock, productive qualities thereof, and other information and data required for identification of pedigree breed, origin and economic value thereof shall be inserted in state pedigree herd book.
