Abstract The scope of this Regional Law shall be to ensure rational land tenure, protection of land rights of citizens, improvement and state regulation of land relations. This Regional Law shall be applicable to land ownership, land tenure, tenancy of land parcels and land shares. It establishes minimum and maximum parcels of agricultural land that can be owned by a single natural and legal person, minimum period of lease of agricultural land. Regional Law envisages cases of allotment free of charge of land in ownership to natural and legal persons and cases of expropriation, including repayment, of land parcels for public and municipal needs and cases of transfer of agricultural land to other categories.
