Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of hunting and hunting management with a view of ensuring sustainable management of wild fauna species subject to hunting and conservation of national hunting traditions. Hunting management shall be carried out by the Russian legal persons within established boundaries of hunting areas allotted thereto in accordance with long-term licence (Art. 6). Hunting grounds shall be classified as follows: (a) hunting grounds allotted to legal persons for hunting management; and (b) common use hunting grounds (not allotted to specific hunter/hunting managers for hunting management). Hunting grounds shall not be considered immovable property and trade, mortgage, lease and other transactions therewith shall be prohibited (Art. 11). Acclimatization of alien species shall be carried out exclusively by special authorization issued by the competent state wildlife institution (Art.23). Captive breeding of wild fauna species shall be carried out exclusively by special authorization issued by the competent state wildlife institution (Art.24). Hunting shall be authorized in accordance with long-term licence (for legal persons) and once-only nominal licence (for natural persons). Hunting shall require payment of fees (Art. 34). Small-populated peoples and ethnic communities shall have priority right to hunting as form of traditional hunting management (Art. 51). Full text Russian Website pravo.levonevsky.org
