Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of conservation, protection of wild fauna species in their natural environment and habitats, kept in semi-captive conditions and in artificially created environment and habitats with a view of ensuring biological diversity, conservation of animal genetic resources and creation of conditions for sustainable management of wildlife. Wild fauna species removed from their natural environment can pertain to private, public and municipal ownership. It delimits plenary powers in the sphere of wild fauna management between regional legislative, regional executive bodies and the authorized regional institution in the sphere of wild fauna management. State supervision in the sphere of conservation, protection and reproduction of wild fauna species shall be performed with a view of ensuring compliance with federal (national) and regional legislation regulating protection and management of wild fauna species.
