Abstract This Regional Law establishes powers of the Regional Legislative Assembly, Regional Government and authorized regional executive bodies in the field of ensuring biological safety. Regional Legislative Assembly shall have the following powers: (a) adoption of regional laws and performance of control over implementation thereof; and (b) exercise of other powers in the field of ensuring biological safety. Regional Government shall have the following powers: (a) coordination of the activities of regional executive bodies in the field of ensuring biological safety; and (b) performance of other powers in the field of ensuring biological safety. Authorized regional executive bodies shall have the following powers: (a) participation in the planning and implementation of anti-epidemic, anti-epizootic, anti-epiphytic measures; (b) participation in monitoring biological risks and evaluation of the effectiveness of measures aimed at ensuring biological safety of the regional territory; and (c) informing local government of municipal entities and the population of the implemented measures aimed at ensuring biological safety in the regional territory.
