Abstract This Regional Law regulates fisheries and fishery management. The following types of fisheries shall be authorized on the regional territory: (a) industrial fisheries, including coastal fisheries; (b) research and control fisheries; (c) educational and cultural fisheries; (d) fisheries for fishfarming, stock enhancement and acclimatization purposes; (e) artisanal and sport fishing; and (f) other fisheries envisaged by the federal legislation (Art. 4). Citizens shall be granted the right to carry out artisanal and sport fishing, with or without release of catch to waterbodies, in the water bodies of common general use without permits and free of charge (Art. 5). Artificial stock enhancement of aquatic biological resources, amelioration of waterbodies, acclimatization of aquatic biological resources and other arrangements shall be carried out with a view of conservation of aquatic biological and fishery resources (Art. 8).
