This Regional Law enters into force the day after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes powers of the Regional Legislative Assembly and the Regional Government in the field of ensuring biological safety. Regional Legislative Assembly shall have the following powers: adoption of regional laws and performance of control over implementation thereof in the field of ensuring biological safety. Regional Government shall have the following powers: (a) coordination of the activities of regional executive bodies in the field of ensuring biological safety; (b) participation in the planning and implementation of anti-epidemic, anti-epizootic, anti-epiphytic measures; (c) participation in monitoring biological risks and evaluation of the effectiveness of measures aimed at ensuring biological safety of the regional territory; and (d) informing local government of municipal entities and the population of the implemented measures aimed at ensuring biological safety in the regional territory.
