Abstract This Regional Law establishes separation of plenary powers between federal executive bodies and regional authorities as regards management of wild fauna species and natural habitats thereof. In particular, regional authorities shall have the right to introduce hunting restrictions and prohibition of hunting for the purpose of stock enhancement and repopulation of wild fauna species. Regional authorities shall organize protection of wild fauna species, except for those populating protected areas, and protection of habitats. Competence of regional authorities shall include also the issuance of hunting licences and licences for captive breeding, except for rare and endangered species.
