Abstract This Regional Law regulates legal relations in the sphere of ensuring radiation safety of the population and establishment of plenary powers of the regional state bodies in this sphere. The following arrangements shall be applied in order to ensure radiation safety of the population: (a) organizational, engineering, technical, ecological, hygienic, sanitary, medical, preventive and educational measures; (b) supervision over management and handling of the sources of ionizing radiation and compliance with safety requirements; (c) information of the population of the state of radiation and measures for ensuring radiation safety of the population; and (d) education of the population in the sphere of ensuring radiation safety.
