This Regional Law enters into force on 1 April 2010.
Abstract

This Regional Law assigns the following plenary powers to the Regional Assembly: (a) validation of the list of wild fauna species authorized for commercial hunting; (b) adoption of regional laws regulating hunting and conservation of hunting resources; and (c) enforcement of regional legislation in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources. Regional Administration shall perform the following plenary powers in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources: (a) the development and approval of the permissible rates of hunting related to wild fauna species for which the limit of hunting is not set, and the rates of carrying capacity of hunting grounds; (b) issuance and cancellation of hunting associations’ membership cards in the manner prescribed by the authorized federal executive body; and (c) exercise of other powers in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
