Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of hunting and conservation of hunting resources. Regional hunting resources (game) shall include, in addition to mammals and birds listed by the federal legislation on hunting, rook, snowbird and mistle thrush. Hunting and capture of mammals and birds listed in the federal and the regional Red Books of endangered and protected wild fauna species shall be prohibited. The following types of hunting shall be authorized on the regional territory: (a) commercial hunting; (b) artisanal and sport hunting; (c) hunting for scientific research and educational purposes; (d) hunting for the regulation of the number of game; (e) hunting for acclimatization, repopulation and hybridization of game; and (f) hunting for the purpose of captive or semi-captive breeding or keeping wild fauna species in artificial environment. The rates of permissible hunting of game to which fixed limit is not applicable and rates of carrying capacity of hunting grounds shall be developed and approved by the regional administration. Applications for issuance of permits for hunting ungulates and brown bear in generally accessible hunting grounds must be submitted to the authorized regional state body and shall contain the following information and data: (a) surname, name and patronymic of the applicant; (b) personal identification data resulting from identity document; (c) type of intended hunting; (d) data on game intended for hunting and the number thereof; (e) intended period of hunting; (f) location of hunting; and (g) date of issuance of hunting association membership card, its registered series and number.
