Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of organization, keeping, management, control, protection and use of state nature reserves and nature monuments of regional significance with a view of conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems, conservation of biodiversity and landscape, improvement of environment and quality of life of the population. Nature complexes and objects located on the regional territory of considerable ecological, scientific and aesthetic value destined for environmental protection, scientific and educational purpose shall be attributed the status of nature monuments of regional significance and areas occupied thereby shall be attributed the status of protected areas of regional significance.
