Abstract This Regional Law establishes the modalities of coordination between regional and federal authorities of issues related to destruction of chemical weapons stockpiled on the regional territory. The aforesaid issues regard recycling or disposal (burial) of waste originating from defence conversion (re-engineering) of sites for liquidation of chemical weapons. Chemical disarmament shall be carried out in the presence of environmental audit conclusions related to construction of sites for liquidation of chemical weapons and availability of reliable and highly efficient environmental monitoring systems on the regional territory.
