Abstract This Regional Law establishes jurisdictional competence of regional state bodies and regulates relations in the sphere of setting up and protection of protected natural areas of regional significance. Regional Government shall have the following plenary powers: (a) environmental investigation; (b) environmental audit; (c) decision-making on constitution of natural parks and validation of the regulations thereon; (d) constitution of state nature reserves of regional significance; (e) attribution of the status of nature monuments to regional nature complexes and proclamation of territory of their location protected areas; (f) certification of nature monument; and (g) land-use planning of regional protected areas with mapping of the boundaries thereof.
