Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of management of wild fauna species, conservation and protection of natural habitats thereof with a view of ensuring sustainable existence of wild fauna species and conservation of genetic fund thereof. The following wild fauna species shall pertain to the regional property: (a) rare, endangered and protected species recorded in the regional Red Book; (b) wild fauna species populating regional protected areas; and (c) commercially valuable wild fauna species. Mandatory arrangement directed at protection of wild fauna and natural habitats thereof shall be state environmental audit prior to decision-making by regional executive bodies related to economic activities that can have impact on wild fauna and natural habitats thereof. Some types of wild fauna management can be limited, restricted or prohibited with a view of ensuring conservation thereof. Rare and endangered species shall be recorded in the regional Red Book.
