Abstract This Regional Law establishes exceptional cases of timber extraction in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species for public and municipal needs. Exceptional cases shall be considered: (a) timber extraction for meeting the demand of state and municipal institutions; (b) timber extraction for the prevention of natural and technological disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof or deterioration of forest species, including falling stand, low quality stand as a consequence of forest fires, pests, diseases and over mature stand; and (d) procurement natural and legal persons of fir trees (spruces) and other coniferous forest species for New Year festivities for the period from 1 December to 5 January (arts. 1-2).
