Abstract This Regional Law determines regulates relations in the sphere of ensuring food security. The scope of this Regional Law shall be to ensure provision of the population with foodstuffs in accordance with the rational nutritional norms. The basic tasks in the sphere of food security shall be: (a) timely forecast, identification and prevention of food security risks; (b) sustainable promotion of processing and manufacturing of agricultural commodities and foodstuffs on the regional territory and formation of food reserves; (c) economic accessibility of foodstuffs for every citizen within amount and assortment complying with the established rational nutritional norms; and (d) ensuring safety of foodstuffs.
