This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law regulates the issues of seed production, procurement, processing, storage, transportation, trade and utilization of seeds. It shall be applicable to seed varieties and seed species, forestry seeds of forest trees and shrubbery recorded in the State Register of Selection achievements authorized for use. Seed growing shall include agricultural crops and forestry seeds, originators, elite, reproduction and hybrid seeds, and also production of normal and improved seeds. Seed growing system of agricultural crops shall represent functionally interrelated natural and legal persons performing activities concerning production of original, elite and reproduction seeds. Scientific substantiation of seed growing practices shall be performed by scientific research institutions. State support to seed growing of agricultural crops shall be granted in the form of preferential tax application, compensation of part of expenditure for seed growing and subsidies.
