This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of hunting and hunting management. The scope of this Regional Law shall be to ensure: (a) state interests in the sphere of protection and reproduction of hunting resources; (b) conservation of natural habitats of wild fauna species and biological diversity; (c) creation of conditions for sustainable existence of wild fauna species; (d) conservation of genetic resources of wild fauna species; (e) setting forth conditions for promotion of hunting management; (f) protection of rights and interests of hunters, hunting managers and wild fauna species; and (g) conservation of national hunting traditions. Hunting grounds shall be classified as follows: (a) allotted for organization and conducting hunting management where hunting shall be authorized in accordance with hunting permits; (b) common use hunting grounds; and (c) areas prohibited for hunting (protected areas). Hunting in protected areas shall be regulated by particular federal and regional legislation. Wild fauna species shall be subject to state registration. Wild fauna species subject to hunting can be allocated to hunting managers in accordance with long-term licence and to citizens in accordance with nominal once-only licence. The term of allotment of hunting grounds to hunting managers shall be no less than 10 years with possible subsequent renewal on preferential terms. Allotment of hunting grounds for hunting management shall be regulated by contracts.
