Abstract This Regional Law regulates the issues of veterinary and sanitary well-being of the population, protection of the population against diseases common to human beings and animals, prevention and veterinary care of agricultural animals. Regional state veterinary service shall carry out the following tasks: (a) prevention and liquidation of infectious and mass non-infectious animal diseases; (b) veterinary and sanitary safety of animal products; (c) protection against animal diseases; (d) protection of the regional territory against introduction of infectious animal diseases from other regions; (e) veterinary supervision and inspection; and (f) veterinary and sanitary expertise of animal products.
