This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes that forest management can be carried out with or without allotment of forest parcels, with or without expropriation of forest resources. Management of forest parcels pertaining to public forest shall require payment of fees. Forest declaration stating use of forests shall be submitted annually to state bodies. Forest management and, in particular, timber extraction, can be restricted or prohibited in accordance with Forest Code. Citizens shall be granted the right to carry out timber extraction for individual personal needs, including fuelwood for heating and building timber for housing construction and repairs in accordance with purchase and sale contract for forest species, without allotment of forest parcels. Citizens shall have the right of free stay in forests for the purpose of procurement of non-timber edible and non-edible forest resources free of charge for individual personal needs.
