Abstract This Regional Law establishes the modalities of granting state support to the producers of agricultural commodities and sustainable development of rural areas. Producers of agricultural commodities shall be recognized organization or individual entrepreneur producing or processing agricultural commodities and trading thereof on condition that share of total income related to trade of the aforesaid commodities shall be no less than 70 percent, citizens conducting subsidiary smallholding, consumer cooperatives and peasant farms. State support of the producers of agricultural commodities shall be granted in the following forms: (a) reimbursement of expenditure for purchase of primary materials and fuel for agricultural purposes; (b) partial compensation of interests on credits allocated by the Russian financial organizations for agricultural purposes; (c) public investments in agriculture; and (d) promotion of various forms of lease.
