This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law shall be based upon the following principles: (a) sustainable management of hunting resources and conservation of biological diversity; (b) differential legal status of hunting resources; (c) public participation in decision-making related to hunting rsources and natural habitats thereof; (d) prevention of cruelty to animals and use of humane hunting gear and hunting methods; (e) transparency in the process of allotment of hunting grounds; (f) setting of hunting quotas with the consideration of ecological, social and economic factors; and (g) payment for then use of hunting resources. Use of timber shall be authorized for conservation of hunting resources and natural habitats thereof. Offenders of the provisions of hunting legislation shall be liable to prosecution.
