Abstract

This Regional Law establishes categories of persons who have the right to benefits in the field of cold water supply in the form of preferential tariffs for the supply of drinking water, the grounds for granting benefits and the procedure for compensation for shortfalls in income of organizations engaged in the supply of water, on the regional territory. The right to benefits in the form of preferential tariffs for the supply of drinking water shall have individuals - owners and other legal users of residential premises in apartment buildings, residential buildings, households. The basis for granting benefits to the population is the lack on the territory (part of the territory) of the regional settlements of the centralized cold water supply systems either in the absence of the possibility or in case of confirmed inexpediency, to organize water supply using a non-centralized cold water supply system. Compensation for shortfalls in income to organizations engaged in transportation of water, is provided in the amount of the difference between the payment by the population for water, calculated according to regulated tariffs for water supply, and a fee calculated at preferential rates for the supply of drinking water. The preferential tariff for the supply of drinking water is established in the manner determined by the local government.
