This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law shall regulate exploration, prospecting, mining, extraction, transportation and processing of crude hydrocarbons containing sulphuretted hydrogen with a view of protection of the population and environment against risks of hazardous impact. It has as its scope to ensure the right of citizens to favourable environment and living conditions in the periods and in the areas of prospecting, exploration and mining of deposits of crude hydrocarbons. This Regional Law shall regulate licensing of the aforesaid activities related to crude hydrocarbons. Prospecting, exploration and mining of deposits of crude hydrocarbons are classified as extremely hazardous economic activities and as such shall be subject to constant environmental monitoring.
