Entry into force notes: This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.

Abstract: This Regional Law regulates some issues of management and disposal of domestic and industrial waste with a view of prevention of hazardous impact thereof on human health and environment. Individual entrepreneurs and legal persons running enterprises, edifices, constructions, residential buildings and other objects in relation to waste management and waste disposal must comply with the requirements with acting legislation on the matter. In case of emergencies and failures related to waste management that can have hazardous impact upon environment and human health must immediately inform authorized regional bodies competent institution (art. 6). Regional waste register shall contain the following specifications: (a) type of waste; (b) waste origin; (c) waste quantity; (d) waste composition; (e) waste properties; (f) hazardousness class of waste; (g) data related to waste disposal sites; and (h) data on waste treatment technologies applied (art. 9).
