Abstract The subject of the legal regulation of this Regional Law shall be relations connected with the provision of free meals to certain categories of students of general educational organizations in the regional territory. Students under the educational programs of the regional primary general educational organizations, in municipal general educational organizations, students studying in private general educational organizations on the state-accredited basic educational programs of primary general education shall be provided by the founders of such organizations at least once a day with free hot meals, which include a hot meal, including a hot drink, in accordance with federal law, as well as free drinking milk. Children from large and disadvantaged families, who are students at the aforesaid educational organizations, shall be provided once a day with free meals, and in the absence of organized meals in such organizations – food packages. The organization of free meals for students shall be the responsibility of the educational institution. Providing students with free meals and free drinking milk in accordance with this Regional Law shall be carried out each school day during the school year on the days when students attend general educational institution.
