Abstract This Regional Law establishes common principles for organization and performance of pedigree stockbreeding, establishes plenary powers of state veterinary service, rights and duties of natural and legal persons in the sphere of pedigree stockbreeding and is aimed at breeding and improvement of news species, types, crosses and hybrids of agricultural animals, conservation of genetic resources thereof and improvement of reproduction of pedigree species. State veterinary service shall perform the following tasks: (a) improvement of pedigree species; (b) efficient use of pedigree products (materials); (c) improvement of productive qualities of livestock; and (d) conservation of genetic resources of low-number agricultural animals useful for selection purposes.
