Abstract This Regional Law establishes legal status, the modalities of election and cessation of plenary powers of small ethnic communities of the North with a view of ensuring traditional rights thereof, protection of their traditionally inhabited areas, traditional way of life and traditional economic activities. It shall be applicable to small ethnic communities of the North carrying traditional activities, including traditional hunting and traditional fisheries, and to associations of small ethnic communities of the North. Authorized representatives shall promote interests of small ethnic communities of the North in relations with regional administration regarding issues of traditional nature management, protection of traditional inhabited areas and traditional way of life.
