Abstract This Regional Law regulates legal issues of ensuring radiation safety of the regional population. Regional Government shall exercise the following powers: (a) adoption of regional legal acts; (b) validation of regional state programs; (c) appointment of the authorized state regional body in the field of ensuring radiation safety; (d) organization of control over radiation situation on the regional territory; (e) participation in the organization and conduct of operational activities in case of risks of radiation accident on the territory regional territory; (f) participation in realization of measures on liquidation of consequences of radiation accidents on the regional territory; (g) ensuring conditions for implementation and protection of citizens' rights and observing the interests of the state in the field of radiation safety; and (h) exercising other powers provided by the federal and regional legislation.
